SchoolHouse Partners
Fixing Homes and Funding Schools
This school year we have partnered with a locally owned and operated business called SchoolHouse Partners. SchoolHouse Partners was recently featured in the Houston Business Journal’s real estate section (8/28/2009) stating, “Sometimes a business arrangement not only benefits those involved, but also the surrounding community.” We are happy that Rummel Creek Elementary is a beneficiary of this program.
SchoolHouse Partners' mission is to connect people to qualified, pre-screened service providers and fund public and private schools at the same time. There is no fee to use this service. If you do choose to book a service provider through SchoolHouse Partners, you are guaranteed three things: (1) a pre-qualified service provider, (2) a discount on services provided that you don't receive if you call the provider directly and (3) 20% of what SchoolHouse Partners earns from billed and collected invoices will be contributed to Rummel Creek Elementary on every transaction you have with these providers.
The owners have both personally met with each home repair and maintenance service provider on their growing list of qualified providers, which is now available to Houston (and the surrounding area) residents. Just remember to mention Rummel Creek Elementary when you call and we will be paid four times a year. In short, Rummel Creek Elementary makes money while you save money. For more information, visit

GoodSearch and GoodShop
www.GoodSearch.com is a search engine that pays Rummel Creek to use it. GoodSearch donates half of its revenue to participating non-profits. Powered by Yahoo!, the application is used just like any other browser, but each time you enter a new search, GoodSearch sends about one cent to the school of your choice. The pennies add up: 500 people searching four times a day yields around $7,300 in a year.
Go to www.goodsearch.com/toolbars.aspxfor directions on how to install the GoodSearch Toolbar. Select your charity and use it each time you do a search on the Internet. Watch the pennies add up without spending a penny.
Also, check out www.GoodShop.com. You can shop at more than 1,300 top online retailers and a percentage of your purchases will go to the charity or school of your choice. You pay the same price as you normally would, but a donation goes to your cause! Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, eBay, Expedia, Gap, Home Depot, Hotels.com, iTunes, L.L. Bean, Overstock, QVC, Sephora, Scholastic and Travelocity are just a few of the 1,300 retailers.
Tell your friends and family how easy it is to raise money for their favorite charities and schools without spending a penny!

Labels for Education
This is sponsored by Campbells. Simply cut the UPC and the little Labels for Education picture (the one of the little boy in a graduation cap and holding a large pencil). They will not accept the entire label. Each UPC with symbol is worth 1 point unless otherwise stated and we can redeem them for products for the school. For more information, you can go to www.labelsforeducation.com.

Project A Tyson
This is sponsored by Tyson. Simply cut out the entire part of the label that shows the Project A symbol. This could be a nice money maker for Rummel Creek since they donate $.24 per label instead of points. For more information, you can go to ProjectAPlus.tyson.com

My Coke Rewards Program
Our school has joined the My Coke Rewards for Schools program. What does that mean? It means that every time you enjoy a participating Coca-Cola product (and there are lots of them), you can donate the My Coke Rewards points to our school. The donations will help give our students things they need, like sports gear, creative supplies, books, classroom tools and more. Please turn in your COKE REWARDS codes to the front office and we will enter them.
